Welcome to Edgar Ranch naturally grown lambs and goats. Lynne and I market Premium Quality Naturally grown lamb and kid to our customers. We offer only lambs and kids raised from our own flocks to our customers. Our Production Dorset ewes produce a lamb with the much sought after "European Carcass" so desired by high end country clubs and white table restaurants. Our does are all Boer crossbreds to which we mate a fullblood Boer Buck. The resulting kids have a wonderful, heavily muscled carcass. Our ewes and does give birth in our pastures from March through June. The resulting kids and lambs are grown on the lush grasses of North Central Ohio until they are weaned. After weaning the lambs and kids are grazed on the highest quality pasture available. We use no growth hormones and any animal requiring treatment with antibiotics for their health and welfare is removed and marketed through other channels. If suitable pasture is not available to meet their nutritional needs, we use locally grown hay, roasted soybeans, soyhulls, and whole shell corn.

We offer our naturally grown lambs and kids three ways. We offer whole lambs or kids packaged to customer specifications. We also offer half lambs or kids cut and Cryovacced to customer specifications. Thirdly, we offer live kids and lambs delivered to the customer's own choice of processor.

Many of our customers are extremely concerned about where their food comes from, the quality and healthfullness of the food, and how it is produced. Since we sell only our own lamb and kid goat, we sell out every year. Spring and early summer born lambs and kid goats are available beginning around June 1 for lightweights, and continuing into the fall and winter for heavier weights. Please reserve your lambs/kids early so you will not be disapppointed. You may reserve as many animals as you like for a deposit of $100.00 each.
